    panasonic SDR-S10 has the function of backlight compensation!! look up the menu!

    On the Panasonic, both the zoom rocker and the shutter buttons are far easier to use, gloves or no gloves, and the screen is lots bright sufficient for use out of doors. It does have a tendency to wash out bright first colors though, and struggle in lower light or inside.
